Introducing Craig and Judy Hawkins, the operators of the Grocery Outlet located in Twin Falls, Idaho. After hearing about the company through an operator friend, Craig began working at the Grocery Outlet in Vallejo, California as a bagger. He moved up within the store and soon enough, he and Judy were in training to become operators. In 1991 they opened a new Grocery Outlet in Pocatello, ID, and in 1998 were given the opportunity to move to the store in Twin Falls. This is home and they are happy to be living in and serving the community of Twin Falls.
Along with their eight children who all have worked at the store while growing up and their son-in-law who is currently a store operator, Craig and Judy have been contributing to the community from the beginning. Annually, the store holds a spaghetti dinner sponsoring the local high school band program. They also work with Habitat for Humanity, and make many other donations to food banks and the education system in Twin Falls.
Craig is very involved with the Boy Scouts of America. Every year, his store sponsors a Boy Scout Foundation shopping spree to support families in need. Craig and Judy also make special efforts to give during the holidays. They participate regularly in Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas dinner drives, giving out food to all the families who are not able to afford a holiday dinner.
For Craig, Judy, and the rest of their employees, it is not about what they get but what they give. They love reaching out to people who need help and also providing this unique service to their community. Craig and Judy would like to thank all of their customers for their support, especially during times of economic change.
